Thurs, 5/30: “Women With Standards” – Jazz vocalists Lori Boone and Lura Griffiths are taking the town by storm with their “Women With Standards” band, and their eclectic, fanciful, and humorous selection of jazz tunes. Lori & Lura have their own distinct style, singing and swinging tunes from the Great American Songbook. They also sing jazz tunes from the‘60s to the present, some duets, and, SOME JAZZ YOU KNOW, SOME YOU DON'T. His music has a wide range of influences from Prince and Stevie Wonder, to Coldplay, to Björk, and he recently released his second EP of original compositions, which can be found on his newly launched website, ryanwolfemusic.com. Ryan is back home in Portland for the summer months to record a new album of music, and to perform his music alongside his favorite Portland musicians. Sat, 6/15: Diego Garcia - Spanish Guitar Wizard Diego García (aka El Twanguero) is well known in Europe and South America for his exotic mixture of Twang sounds and Root Music. His new album CARRETERAS SECUNDARIAS, was recorded in Buenos Aires (2012) and is a Solo Guitar album and was released in May 2013. Fri, 6/28: The Blueprint Trio – Matt Tabor….. In 2012 the Blueprints Trio was formed with the intention of exploring original music. The band features compositions by all  three of its members: Dave Averre, Craig Snazelle and Matt Tabor as well as new arrangements of standard jazz repertoire.  The Blueprints Trio recently released their debut record “Blueprints” which can be found at www.blueprintstrio.com. Sat, 6/29: Anandi - An enthusiastic fan once told Anandi, “If I bring a date to your show, your music will make her fall in love.”  With a name that means ‘bliss’ in Sanskrit, one could easily infer that Anandi was born to create music that is capable of putting the listener in a very pleasant state. With her silky voice, Anandi weaves such contemporary selections as (Mark Murphy's Stolen Moments) with lesser known standards (Undecided) and old soldiers (Teach Me Tonight).Anandi has performed as a jazz vocalist regularly in the Portland area for over a decade and performed in the 2013 PDX Jazz Fest. Her full spectrum repertoire also includes songs in French, Portuguese and Spanish. Joining Anandi will be Mike Horsfall on piano, and Bill Athens on bass. Catch this  dynamic Trio! 8pm - $8.
